AFAS is very pleased to announce that it has received some funding to support its arbitration/ADR project titled, “ADR Student Connect Network Project” from the ArbitralWomen New Initiative Award.
Our project will engage with secondary schools and universities in selected African countries to introduce alternative dispute resolution processes and support the schools in forming mentoring clubs/groups to be monitored over one year. The first phase of this project will be delivered in Accra, Kampala, Nairobi and Kigali in 2024.
In April 2024, in Accra AFAS will collaborate with GIMPA Law Faculty and Legacy Girls Secondary School; and in Kampala AFAS will collaborate with the Faculty of Law Makerere university and Our Lady of Good Counsel Secondary School in April 2024. The project will run in Nairobi in May and in Kigali in June 2024.
Project Sponsors: AFAS is very grateful to Onyema Arbitration Services Ltd, ArbitralWomen under their “New Initiative Award” and AFAS Trustees for sponsoring this project.
